The AITO M5 is a mid-size luxury SUV produced by Seres (赛力斯) in partnership with Huawei. Launched in late 2022, the M5 is offered in two powertrain variants: the Range Extender (EREV) with a 1.5L gasoline range extender and a battery-electric motor (combined 1440 km CLTC range, 255 km pure electric), and the Battery Electric (BEV) variant (up to 602 km CLTC range). The AITO M5 is the first model in Huawei's "问界 (Wenjie, "Ask the World")" series and is the foundation for the subsequent M7, M8, and M9 models.
Distinct from conventional ICE SUVs, the AITO M5 has a unique front trunk ("frunk") compartment enabled by the absence of an engine in the BEV variant and a smaller engine bay in the EREV variant. The M5 frunk is accessed via a power-lift front hood and provides approximately 80 liters of additional storage — ideal for charging cables, frunk, and small luggage. AutoBridge's cargo liner SKU includes both a rear trunk mat (3D laser-scanned against the M5's 350L+ rear cargo area) and a dedicated front trunk mat, plus an optional rear seat-back cover for extended cargo loading.
The AITO M5 is widely used across three distinct owner profiles, each with specific cargo protection requirements:
Premium private owners (China domestic, UAE, Saudi Arabia): High-income buyers of the M5 Ultra (2024+) and standard M5 use the vehicle for family travel, business reception, and weekend leisure. Cargo liners protect the original trunk carpet from muddy sports gear, beach equipment, and grocery spills.
Chauffeured executive transport (China, HK, Singapore): RHD export markets for the M5 include private hire and corporate fleet use. The frunk compartment is often used to store client materials, water bottles, and umbrellas — a cargo liner prevents these from sliding during cornering.
EV early adopters (China, Norway, Netherlands, UK): Buyers of the BEV variant specifically seek cargo protection that does not interfere with the high-voltage battery cooling system located under the rear seat. TPE-based liners (non-conductive, odor-free) are preferred over PVC alternatives.
Rear trunk floor (full coverage, including spare tire well access panel — for AITO M5 EREV which carries a tire repair kit)
Wheel well intrusions (raised side walls 5cm above trunk floor)
Rear seat-back extension (when rear seats folded flat, the mat extends to protect the load-through opening)
Front trunk (frunk) compartment, 80L capacity, with raised edge to contain charging cable coils
Front trunk cable management slot (compatible with the M5's portable charger storage)
The AITO M5's high-voltage battery is housed in a sealed underbody enclosure, and the rear cargo area is separated from the battery compartment by a metal floor panel. Our TPE cargo liner is electrically non-conductive, odor-free (no PVC smell common in low-quality mats), and remains pliable at -30°C for cold-weather shipping. The liner does not interfere with the M5's rear cargo lighting, 12V power outlet, or the optional cargo net anchors.
This cargo liner is engineered to fit the full M5 lineup: the original 2022 M5 (both EREV and BEV), the 2023 M5 Standard Range, the 2024 M5 Long Range, the 2024+ M5 Ultra (with Huawei ADS 4 and HarmonyOS cockpit refresh), and the upcoming 2026 M5 facelift. The rear cargo area geometry has remained consistent across all M5 generations, with only minor changes to the rear seat-back release lever position (handled by our precision-molded seat-back cover).
The AITO M5 is in continuous production since late 2022, manufactured by Seres (赛力斯) at its Chongqing factory with Huawei providing the smart cockpit (HarmonyOS), driver assistance (ADS 4), and powertrain software. In 2024, Seres acquired the AITO trademark and over 900 related patents from Huawei for $340 million, formalizing the brand transition. The M5 is primarily sold in China, with overseas market launches beginning in 2025-2026: the UAE (in partnership with Performance Plus Motors, 2026), the broader Middle East, and select European markets (Norway, Netherlands, UK) where the BEV variant is positioned as a premium Tesla Model Y competitor.
AutoBridge supplies aftermarket cargo liners and front trunk mats for the AITO M5 platform, manufactured to OEM-fit tolerances and suitable for both left-hand-drive (China domestic, Europe) and right-hand-drive (UAE, Saudi, UK) configurations. For RHD export vehicles, please specify the configuration when placing an order to ensure the correct frunk mat orientation. For armored or stretched M5 variants (produced in low volumes by external coachbuilders), please contact our sales team for a custom fitment specification.
Auto parts are essential components for the proper functioning of vehicles used in car assembly lines or for maintenance and repair services after purchase. Autobridge™ (Xiamen) provides a wide range of OES, aftermarket replacement parts, including AC compressors, cylinder heads, oil pumps, power steering pumps, starter motors, and turbochargers. These components are installed in powertrains, steering systems, rear axle assemblies, and chassis assemblies. Auto parts need to meet the design specifications and performance requirements of the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts, as well as comply with local regulations or CAPA certification. Depending on the requirements based on OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) for material or design improvements, aftermarket parts may outperform the original genuine parts.
Car accessories are AFTERMARKET MODIFIED PARTS for cars after the production line. Autobridge™ (Xiamen) offers a variety of accessories, including an airflow snorkel, bumper, door visors, matting, spoiler, and trunk tray. The car accessories are not performance parts and generally do not affect the original power and safety. They are used to modify the appearance style, enhance off-road capabilities, or increase driving comfort. Compared to the genuine accessories, we offer customization services for aftermarket replacement accessories that cater to the buyer's specific requirements. Each accessory can be designed specifically for different car models.
The Hijet and the Gran Max—one is the ultimate space-saving product under Japan's micro commercial vehicle regulations, and the other is a globalized model that broke free from those constraints to reach the pinnacle of practicality. Whether navigating narrow Tokyo alleys or driving across the vast Southeast Asian market, they demonstrate Daihatsu's "compact cars, big impact" philosophy through solid quality and continuous generational inheritance.
