The Audi A4 B9 (chassis code 8W) is the fifth generation of the Audi A4, produced from 2015 to 2025 (with facelift B9.5 starting 2019). The 2016-2019 model years represent the pre-facelift B9 generation, built on Volkswagen Group's MLB Evo platform. Available as a sedan (Limousine) and wagon (Avant), the A4 B9 features wider wheel arches than the previous B8 generation to accommodate larger wheel and tire combinations. AutoBridge supplies mud flaps (also called mudguards, splash guards, or wheel arch protectors) precision-engineered to the A4 B9's specific wheel arch geometry.
2016 A4 B9 (8W) – Launch model year, sedan and Avant
2017 A4 B9 (8W) – Continued production, same wheel arch geometry
2018 A4 B9 (8W) – Minor trim updates, mud flap fitment unchanged
2019 A4 B9 (8W) – Final pre-facelift year before B9.5 update
A4 Allroad (8W) – Raised wagon variant, shares wheel arch geometry with standard A4 Avant
The Audi A4 is a global luxury sedan/wagon, with key markets in Germany, the UK, France, the United States, Canada, and China. In European markets, A4 owners often drive on narrow country roads and highway construction zones where stone chips and mud splash are common. In North America, A4 owners in northern states (US/Canada) face road salt and winter debris that accelerate wheel arch corrosion. Mud flaps are a popular aftermarket addition for A4 owners who want to protect their vehicle's paintwork and maintain resale value.
AutoBridge offers three material options for the A4 B9 mud flaps: PP (polypropylene, standard), PP+TPE (enhanced flexibility in cold weather), and TPE (premium, odorless). All options include pre-drilled holes matching the A4 B9's factory fastener positions. PP soft plastic is the most popular choice for wholesale orders (100+ sets) due to its balance of cost, flexibility, and weather resistance. For European and North American markets, we recommend PP+TPE or TPE for better cold-weather performance.
Before installing, confirm your A4's production year (2016-2019) and chassis code (8W) match the Fitment chips above. The B9 generation (2016-2019) has different wheel arch geometry than the previous B8 generation (2008-2015), so do not attempt to use B8 mud flaps on a B9 A4.
Clean the wheel arch area with isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt and wax.
Align the front mud flap with the pre-drilled holes in the wheel arch liner.
Insert the plastic fender fastener clips through the mud flap into the factory holes.
Secure with the provided U-clip screws and Allen key (torque: hand-tight, do not over-tighten).
Repeat for the rear wheels (rear mud flaps are larger: 205×310mm).
Test by spraying water on the wheels to confirm mud flaps deflect splash away from the body.
For A4 owners in Europe and North America: The factory wheel arch liner is plastic. When installing mud flaps, avoid over-tightening fasteners to prevent cracking the liner. For wholesale orders shipping to colder regions (Canada, northern US, Scandinavia), we recommend selecting PP+TPE or TPE material for better flexibility in temperatures below -10°C. Mud flaps are a common "refresh" item when preparing A4s for resale, as they protect the wheel arch paint from stone chip damage.
AutoBridge supplies A4 B9 mud flaps with three fastener configurations to match different buyer preferences and regional regulations.
Plastic fender fastener clips × 8 (compatible with Audi 8W factory hole spacing)
U-clip screws × 8 (M6 thread, 20mm length)
Allen screw with hex key × 1 (for pre-drilled hole alignment)
Stainless steel screws – Replaces plastic clips for permanent installation (popular in Middle East for heat resistance)
3M VHB adhesive backing – Tape-on mounting option (no drilling, ideal for leased vehicles)
Extended fastener kit – Adds 4 extra clips for reinforced mounting (recommended for off-road use)
Note: Fastener specifications are confirmed at the quotation stage. Contact us with your target market (e.g., Germany, US, Canada) for regional compliance recommendations.
Auto parts are essential components for the proper functioning of vehicles used in car assembly lines or for maintenance and repair services after purchase. Autobridge™ (Xiamen) provides a wide range of OES, aftermarket replacement parts, including AC compressors, cylinder heads, oil pumps, power steering pumps, starter motors, and turbochargers. These components are installed in powertrains, steering systems, rear axle assemblies, and chassis assemblies. Auto parts need to meet the design specifications and performance requirements of the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts, as well as comply with local regulations or CAPA certification. Depending on the requirements based on OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) for material or design improvements, aftermarket parts may outperform the original genuine parts.
Car accessories are AFTERMARKET MODIFIED PARTS for cars after the production line. Autobridge™ (Xiamen) offers a variety of accessories, including an airflow snorkel, bumper, door visors, matting, spoiler, and trunk tray. The car accessories are not performance parts and generally do not affect the original power and safety. They are used to modify the appearance style, enhance off-road capabilities, or increase driving comfort. Compared to the genuine accessories, we offer customization services for aftermarket replacement accessories that cater to the buyer's specific requirements. Each accessory can be designed specifically for different car models.
