Chrome trim for door visors --- Electroplated bright strip shape designElectroplated bright strip shape design with PS material main body

Electroplated Bright Strip Shape Design

Electroplated bright trims are processed with chrome plating technology on high-quality plastic blanks. The processed chrome-plated bright trim can present a more shiny metallic luster under high light compared to 3D stainless steel decorative strips. When touched by hand, the curvature of the electroplated bright trim is more three-dimensional and rounder than that of the 3D stainless steel chrome trim. To improve weather resistance characteristics, anti-oxidation surface treatment can be applied to electroplated bright trims. Electroplated bright trim s are usually matched with PS materials.

Mirror Stainless Steel Design

The design of mirror stainless steel creates a nearly embedded installation for the chrome trim, which is smoothly installed in the groove of the door visor. The chrome trim fits smoothly into the groove of the door visor, providing a smooth feel when touched by hand. This smooth design reflects light differently from 3D stainless steel designs, with a single reflection angle that makes it look more like a flat mirror when reflecting objects. The large curvature of the door visor main body complements the smooth decorative design, creating an obvious turning point relationship and enhancing its overall aesthetic appeal.

3D Stainless Steel Design

The shape of the 3D stainless steel trim is more three-dimensional and rounded than the mirror stainless steel shape. The top and bottom sides of the chrome trim and the protruding vertex in the middle form a curved design. When touched by hand, you can intuitively feel the change in curvature. This curved shape produces varying reflection effects under high light at different angles. The main body of the door visor itself already has a certain curve design, and when they are paired together, they show a more traditional design style. 3D Stainless steel chrome trims are commonly used with PC material door visors. The flexibility of the PC material allows for this type of door visor with such a design can be bent to a large extent.

Honda Mobilio Door Visors – Side Window Wind Deflectors for Mini MPV Families

The Honda Mobilio is a compact seven-seater Mini MPV with two distinct generations spanning 2001 to the present. The first generation (2001-2008) was a Japan-domestic market (JDM) vehicle built on the Global Small Car platform shared with the Honda Fit/Jazz, offered in both standard (GB1/GB2, 7-seat) and the rugged Mobilio Spike variant (GK1/GK2, 5-seat with sliding rear doors). The second generation (2014-present, DD4/DD5/DD6) was developed by Honda R&D Asia Pacific specifically for emerging markets — Indonesia, India, Thailand, and South Africa — becoming one of Indonesia's best-selling family MPVs for nearly a decade.

AutoBridge supplies door visors (also called vent visors, rain guards, side window deflectors, or window visors) precision-engineered to the Mobilio's specific window channel and door frame geometry across both generations, including the sliding-door Mobilio Spike variant.

Fitment Coverage

  • 2001-2008 Honda Mobilio 1st-Gen (GB1/GB2) – 7-seat compact MPV, conventional hinged rear doors, Japan domestic market; 1.5L i-DSI / VTEC engine

  • 2002-2008 Honda Mobilio Spike (GK1/GK2) – 5-seat lifestyle variant with dual sliding rear doors; different rear door frame geometry from standard Mobilio — confirm chassis code before ordering

  • 2014-Present Honda Mobilio 2nd-Gen (DD4/DD5/DD6) – 7-seat family MPV based on extended Brio platform; Indonesia, India, Thailand, South Africa; 1.5L i-VTEC engine; includes Mobilio RS facelift (2017) and revised 2019 trim

Why Mobilio Owners Choose Aftermarket Door Visors

In Indonesia — the Mobilio's primary market — the combination of heavy monsoon rain and tropical heat makes side window ventilation a daily necessity for families carrying 5-7 passengers. Door visors allow rear-seat passengers to crack windows for airflow without rain splashing in, a feature particularly valued in Jabodetabek traffic jams where air conditioning alone may not be sufficient for the third row. In India, the Mobilio served as a family hauler where door visors reduce interior heat buildup during parking in direct sun. In South Africa, dust deflection on township roads and provincial highways is the key use case.

1st-Gen vs 2nd-Gen Fitment Note

The first-generation Mobilio (GB/GK, 2001-2008) and second-generation Mobilio (DD, 2014-present) have different door frame profiles and window channel widths. Please select the correct generation from the Fitment chips above before ordering. The Mobilio Spike (GK1/GK2) with sliding rear doors requires a separate rear door visor specification — confirm with AutoBridge at order stage.

Installation Notes for Honda Mobilio Door Visors

Pre-Install: Confirm Your Generation and Variant

Before installation, confirm your Mobilio's chassis code from your registration documents or VIN plate:

  • GB1 / GB2 = 1st-Gen standard Mobilio (2001-2008), 7-seat, hinged rear doors

  • GK1 / GK2 = Mobilio Spike (2002-2008), 5-seat, sliding rear doors — requires Spike-specific rear visor

  • DD4 / DD5 / DD6 = 2nd-Gen Mobilio (2014-present), Indonesia/India/South Africa market

The 1st-Gen (GB/GK) and 2nd-Gen (DD) Mobilio have different front-door window channel widths. Using the wrong generation visor will result in improper fit.

Mounting Method Selection for MPV Use

  • In-Channel: Slides into the upper window channel rubber seal. No adhesive required. Recommended for Mobilio owners who may need to remove visors for door rubber replacement. Common for 2nd-Gen DD units in Indonesia.

  • Tape-On (3M VHB): Adheres to the exterior door frame surface. Provides the strongest hold; recommended for tropical markets where high humidity and monsoon conditions demand secure attachment. Most common for Indonesian and South African 2nd-Gen units.

  • Clip-On: Clips between window glass and door frame rubber. Common for 1st-Gen GB standard Mobilio owners in Japan who prefer a reversible, non-adhesive install.

Sliding Door Note (Mobilio Spike GK only)

The Mobilio Spike (GK1/GK2) features dual sliding rear doors. The sliding door mechanism limits the visor mounting area to the forward half of the rear door frame. AutoBridge supplies a Spike-specific rear door visor designed for the sliding door track clearance. Do not install standard Mobilio rear visors on the Spike rear doors.

Climate-Specific Installation Tips

For buyers in Indonesia, India, and South Africa: After tape-on installation, allow 24 hours of dry conditions before washing the vehicle to allow 3M VHB adhesive to fully cure. For tropical markets with high ambient temperatures, pre-clean the door frame with isopropyl alcohol to remove road dust and palm oil residue before adhesive application — this significantly improves long-term adhesion in humid climates.

  • The Description Difference between Model Years and Production Years

Due to our use of open network databases, like Wikipedia and Autohome, for some of our vehicle data, there might be minor variations in the descriptions found in our SKU designs. "Production Years" are the years when a specific model is first introduced to the public market. On the other hand, "Model Years" refer to the different versions of a model that were available to consumers in different years. These differences in model years often come with changes to the exterior or interior design of the vehicle. When searching for car information on websites or through dealers, typically you are searching based on 'Model Years'. For instance, the third generation of the Honda Accord was introduced on June 4th, 1985, and ceased production in 1989. ‘1985-1989’ represents the ‘Production Years’ of the Accord, while the ‘Model Years’ in automobile databases are listed as ‘1986-1989’. Due to the different sources of information, there may be differences in the way they are presented. As our products cover car parts and accessories, we have incorporated both "Production Years" and "Model Years" terminology. Please note this.
  • Compatibility Description of Auto Parts

Auto parts are essential components for the proper functioning of vehicles used in car assembly lines or for maintenance and repair services after purchase. Autobridge™ (Xiamen) provides a wide range of OES, aftermarket replacement parts, including AC compressors, cylinder heads, oil pumps, power steering pumps, starter motors, and turbochargers. These components are installed in powertrains, steering systems, rear axle assemblies, and chassis assemblies. Auto parts need to meet the design specifications and performance requirements of the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts, as well as comply with local regulations or CAPA certification. Depending on the requirements based on OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) for material or design improvements, aftermarket parts may outperform the original genuine parts.
