Volkswagen T-Roc Mud Flaps: MQB A1 Compatibility Across Global Variants

These mud flaps are designed for the 2023 Volkswagen T-Roc, a subcompact crossover SUV built on the MQB A1 platform. The 2023 model year represents the second China-market facelift (April 2023 release), visually distinct from the 2021 global facelift but retaining identical wheel arch geometry and under-chassis mounting provisions.

Platform & Architecture

The T-Roc shares the MQB A1 platform with the VW Golf Mk7, Audi A3 Mk3, SEAT Leon Mk3, and Skoda Octavia Mk3. Despite this shared architecture, mud flap mounting geometry is vehicle-specific and these units are tooled exclusively for T-Roc wheel arch contours. The front MacPherson strut and rear torsion beam or multi-link suspension layout does not affect mud flap fitment.

General wholesale; standard OEM-style appearance

PP+TPE (Blend)

Enhanced cold-weather flexibility, improved impact resistance

Standard gauge

Northern climate export markets with cold winters

TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer)

Global vs China LWB: Mud Flap Compatibility

Despite the China-market T-Roc (探歌) being 84 mm longer and riding on a 90 mm-extended wheelbase, the wheel arch geometry and mounting point positions are unchanged. The wheelbase extension is achieved within the floor pan, not the wheel arch areas. No separate tooling is required for the China LWB variant.

Pre-2023 T-Roc (2017-2021)

This SKU covers the 2023 facelift (second China-market refresh). The pre-facelift T-Roc (2017-2021) shares the same wheel arch cutouts and mounting points; these mud flaps are likely backward-compatible. Buyers sourcing for earlier model years should confirm via sample before bulk orders.

Excluded Variants

  • T-Roc Cabriolet: Different rear quarter panel and wheel arch structure; rear mud flaps incompatible

  • 2024+ T-Roc (2nd Generation): New platform (MEB Evo); entirely different wheel arch geometry. Not covered by this SKU

Aftermarket Compatibility & Customisation

These mud flaps are aftermarket accessories manufactured to match OEM wheel arch profiles and mounting points. They are not OEM-certified or factory-branded components.

Material Selection Guide

  • PP (Standard): Recommended for tropical and temperate climate markets (SEA, Middle East, India). Best cost-performance ratio for general wholesale

  • PP+TPE (Cold Climate): Recommended for Northern Europe, Russia, and North American markets where sub-zero flexibility matters

  • TPE (Heavy-Duty): Recommended for fleet or commercial vehicle applications requiring maximum durability

  • ABS (Budget): Suitable for price-sensitive markets where flexibility is not critical

Customisation Options

  • Material grade: PP, PP+TPE, TPE, or ABS per buyer specification

  • Surface finish: standard matte black or custom colour (MOQ applies)

  • Packaging: standard export carton or private-label retail packaging

  • Fastener kit: standard configuration or buyer-specified hardware selection

  • Branding: logo embossing or printing available for volume orders

  • The Description Difference between Model Years and Production Years

Due to our use of open network databases, like Wikipedia and Autohome, for some of our vehicle data, there might be minor variations in the descriptions found in our SKU designs. "Production Years" are the years when a specific model is first introduced to the public market. On the other hand, "Model Years" refer to the different versions of a model that were available to consumers in different years. These differences in model years often come with changes to the exterior or interior design of the vehicle. When searching for car information on websites or through dealers, typically you are searching based on 'Model Years'. For instance, the third generation of the Honda Accord was introduced on June 4th, 1985, and ceased production in 1989. ‘1985-1989’ represents the ‘Production Years’ of the Accord, while the ‘Model Years’ in automobile databases are listed as ‘1986-1989’. Due to the different sources of information, there may be differences in the way they are presented. As our products cover car parts and accessories, we have incorporated both "Production Years" and "Model Years" terminology. Please note this.
  • Compatibility Description of Auto Parts

Auto parts are essential components for the proper functioning of vehicles used in car assembly lines or for maintenance and repair services after purchase. Autobridge™ (Xiamen) provides a wide range of OES, aftermarket replacement parts, including AC compressors, cylinder heads, oil pumps, power steering pumps, starter motors, and turbochargers. These components are installed in powertrains, steering systems, rear axle assemblies, and chassis assemblies. Auto parts need to meet the design specifications and performance requirements of the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts, as well as comply with local regulations or CAPA certification. Depending on the requirements based on OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) for material or design improvements, aftermarket parts may outperform the original genuine parts.

  • Compatibility Description of Car Accessories

Car accessories are AFTERMARKET MODIFIED PARTS for cars after the production line. Autobridge™ (Xiamen) offers a variety of accessories, including an airflow snorkel, bumper, door visors, matting, spoiler, and trunk tray. The car accessories are not performance parts and generally do not affect the original power and safety. They are used to modify the appearance style, enhance off-road capabilities, or increase driving comfort. Compared to the genuine accessories, we offer customization services for aftermarket replacement accessories that cater to the buyer's specific requirements. Each accessory can be designed specifically for different car models.
