Trumpchi Emkoo Car Mats (2022-Present) — 3D Floor Liners
The Trumpchi Emkoo is GAC Group's compact crossover SUV, launched globally in April 2022 as the production version of the EMKOO concept car. Powered by either a 1.5TGDI turbocharged engine or a 2.0 ATK hybrid powertrain (GMC 2.0), the Emkoo represents GAC's push into the export market — available in LHD for South America (Brazil, Uruguay) and the Middle East, and in RHD for South Africa (launched August 2024) with further expansion into Southeast Asian RHD markets underway.
This car mat set is computer-modeled from OEM floor pan data for all Emkoo trims from launch year 2022 onward. Four material options are available, each with deep dish raised edges designed to contain spills, mud, sand, and debris. Every mat is produced through a 9-step precision manufacturing process — from laser scanning to heel pad embossing — ensuring an exact contour fit without trimming or modification.
Fitment Coverage
2022–Present Trumpchi Emkoo (All Trims) — 5-seat compact SUV, single floor pan architecture (no generation split yet). Covers both the 1.5TGDI (177 hp / 270 Nm) and 2.0 ATK hybrid (238 hp) variants. LHD and RHD versions share the same mat pattern except for the driver-side pedal cutout area, which is mirrored for RHD markets.
Why Emkoo Owners Choose Aftermarket Car Mats
The Emkoo's OEM carpet mats are designed for the Chinese domestic market and wear quickly under tropical humidity, desert sand, or heavy daily use — conditions common in the Emkoo's export destinations from Southeast Asia to the Middle East and South Africa. Aftermarket 3D floor liners provide full-coverage cabin protection with material choices tailored to local conditions: TPE for monsoon climates and fleet durability, leather for premium showroom appeal in Gulf markets, classic carpet for ride-hailing comfort, and vinyl loop for commercial and off-road applications. Since the Emkoo is a new model with limited OEM accessory availability in most export markets, aftermarket car mats represent a high-margin category for B2B importers establishing the GAC aftermarket channel.
Material & Pattern Options
Four material grades available, each with seven surface pattern options to match interior styling preferences:
Material choices: TPE (waterproof, all-weather), Leather (premium, easy-clean), Classic Carpet (sound-dampening, soft-touch), Vinyl Loop Mat (heavy-duty, commercial-grade)
Pattern options: Luxury diamond pattern, Braided pattern, Carbon fiber-like pattern, Crocodile pattern, Grain-like pattern, Hermès-like (Vache Liegee) leather pattern, Square diamond pattern
Color options: Beige, Black, Brown — with custom color matching available for bulk orders
Placement: Front set (Driver + Passenger), Trunk mat (optional, sold separately or as complete kit)
Additional details: Hang tag, fasteners & clips, heel pad, metal emblem, printed label — all configurable per buyer specification
Manufacturing Process
Every Emkoo car mat follows a 9-step precision production workflow to ensure OEM-grade fit and finish:
1. Laser Scanning
The vehicle's floor pan is laser-scanned to capture every contour, anchor point, and seat rail position with sub-millimeter accuracy.
2. Computer Modeling & Pattern Making
Scan data is converted into a 3D CAD model. The pattern is digitally verified against the OEM floor layout, accounting for pedal positions, center tunnel shape, and seat track clearance.
3. Material Cutting
Selected material (TPE, leather, carpet, or vinyl loop) is cut to precise dimensions based on the digital pattern.
4. Heating & Softening
The cut material is heated in a controlled industrial oven to reach optimal pliability, preparing it for mold shaping without compromising material integrity.
5. Placement Into the Mold
Softened material is positioned into the Emkoo-specific compression mold. The mold applies uniform pressure to shape the mat to the exact floor pan contour.
Multi-layer materials — top surface layer, EVA foam interlayer, and anti-slip underfelt bottom layer — are compacted into a single bonded piece under heat and pressure.
7. Manual Trimming
Excess material around the edges is trimmed by hand to achieve a clean perimeter that follows the factory footwell outline precisely.
8. Manual Edge Wrapping & Stitching
The edge banding process wraps the EVA interlayer with matching trim, providing a finished look and preventing edge fraying. Stitching is applied where specified by the buyer.
9. Heel Pad Embossing
A reinforced heel pad is heat-embossed into the driver-side mat at the accelerator/brake pedal zone. When the heel pad wears over time, it can be replaced separately — extending the service life of the entire mat set.
